Quality Materials, Consciously Chosen

All of our wall beds and compact furniture solutions are made from engineered wood panels containing at least 90% recycled and sustainably reforested fibres. That means not a single tree is cut down just to make our furniture. Instead, we divert tonnes of post-consumer and industrial wood waste from landfill each year.

Composite wood is also lighter than solid timber, making it more efficient to transport and install—especially important for urban homes with narrow staircases and tight hallways. Better still, it holds its shape without warping, ensuring smooth operation for decades.

Even our newer chipboard panels are made from renewable virgin wood, certified to E1 or better, and completely free from added formaldehyde.

No VOCs, No Worries

That “new furniture smell” people often notice? That’s off-gassing—volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can linger in the air for weeks or months, especially in small spaces.

At Bonbon, we avoid VOCs entirely. Our furniture is finished using only water-based lacquers, glues, and paints, meeting or exceeding UK and EU emission standards. The result? Better air quality in your home, especially vital in smaller living spaces.

Cleaner Manufacturing, Down to the Details

We work exclusively with partners who go above and beyond in clean production. Our wall beds uses a vacuum-sealed processes to cut and seal panels, capturing even the smallest particulates. Gases released during production are safely recycled or neutralised using advanced filtration.

It’s a level of precision rarely seen—and it shows in the crisp edges, perfectly aligned panels, and smooth finishes you’ll find on every product we sell.

Each bed mechanism in our transforming systems is individually engineered and patented. Unlike cheaper alternatives that use generic components, our designs every element in-house, rigorously testing mechanisms through 10,000 open-close cycles. That’s why we can confidently offer a lifetime warranty.
